Message from Our CEO: Celebrating 85 Years in 2025
Dear Fellow Members,
On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to wish you and your family a happy and safe New Year. This year, 2025, marks the 85th anniversary of our credit union, and we will celebrate in a variety of ways. Most importantly, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to our membership and community through various giveback opportunities.
Some of the exciting things we have in store for 2025 include investing more in students and education, including strategic partnerships with several county college partners, which will include scholarship programs and ATM placements. We are also creating student banking programs for our younger members and K through 12 SEG partners as well.
We will be sharing new member and community giveback initiatives throughout the year, including shredder events, enhancements to local parks and green space, as well as appreciation efforts benefiting teachers and essential workers. We also plan to continue growing our Adopt-A-Family program and expanding our newly launched New Jersey Credit Unions Food Cooperative.
Additionally, as we approach our 85th anniversary this June, we plan to host several Member Appreciation events throughout our branches as an additional giveback opportunity for our members.
As always, we will continue to offer great rates and low fees for our new Growth Checking and Savings programs, as well as our First Step Checking program. We will be offering more affordable auto loan purchase and refinance programs, and introducing several new mortgage solutions, including a first-time homebuyer program.
As our First Harvest team looks forward to the year ahead, we must acknowledge the loyalty and trust that our 46,000 members and 700 Select Employer Groups have shown since our founding in 1940. As South Jersey’s largest member-owned financial institution, we are more committed than ever to providing quality and affordable financial solutions and excellent service to our entire membership and the Southern New Jersey community.
